Best hidden gem in Hermanus- luxury & hospitality

From the moment we arrived, Julia and Helen provided us with an absolutely outstanding experience. Forty Trees is a luxury boutique B&B not far from the center of Hermanus tucked on a quiet tree-lined street close to the mountain. Our room was wonderfully decorated with super comfortable linens, a large bathroom and a stunning pool and garden for relaxing. We were so pleased with the lovely breakfast served in the morning and really appreciate of the extra mile they went to work with my dietary restrictions. The owner, Julia's, attention to detail and incredible hospitality made it really hard to leave. I would very highly recommend this place for a lovely stay in Hermanus whether on a romantic holiday, traveling with a friend or family or just sneaking off for a solo recharge.

What a great place to stay, even when it rains the place is shining inside and out. We will warmly recommend you to our friends that might have plans to visit South Africa.

We had a great stay here at Forty Trees.
Everything is perfect from the rooms, breakfasts, pool, service, good wine and that you helped us with everything - even fixing a contact for Roberts sunglasses!
We will be back to stay again.

Everything is just so special with exquisite thoughtful touches everywhere. Homemade chilli jam for breakfast what more could we ask for?!

Was treated from entering the premises until our goodbyes. Beyond comfortable....a visual feast and an experience we will come back to. Greatest attention to detail in everything - not even to mention the culinary surprise at breakfast!

We had the most beautiful wedding at Forty Trees, words are not enough, the incredible feeling of warmth, comfort, luxury and just being totally spoilt - the food was out of this world the detail to everything was amazing, thank you Julia for going the extra mile and making my nieces wedding so perfect!

Forty Trees is the perfect combination of laid back and luxe. I loved the thoughtful touches, like freshly baked biscotti and the quirky birds' houses outside.
